Apple Porridge with Pecans and Cinnamon


150 gr. oats (buckwheat, amaranth, bailey)

400 ml almond or coconut milk

300 ml water

1/2 tsp cinnamon

2 apples, diced

2 tbsp pecans, chopped

2 tbsp honey or pekmez (grape molasses)

Place the oats, milk, water and cinnamon in saucepan. Bring up to a gentle simmer, stirring frequently, and cook for 3-5 minutes. If it is getting too thick add a splash more milk or water. Add the apple slices and cook for another 2-3 minutes. Spoon into bowls, add honey and pecans. Serve hot.
